Movin‘ lesson breaks (Germany)

„Time to move“ – that’s what teachers at Kleeblattschule said more often than usuall. We try to activate our pupils by integrating an additional activity or TRP game in everyday lessons. That can be a welcome ritual in the morning, an active break in between two parts of a lesson or a TPR song in Science or English.

Run, jump and learn languages! (Finland)

Besides the increased moving and learning skills, Run, jump, learn! project also offers a chance to get to know new languages. The Run, jump, learn! project club in Pöllönkangas school researched the project countries‘ languages: Finnish, Swedish, German, Spanish and Welsh. We used ICT-tools to help us find out same words in different languages. We also listened to what the words sound like and learned how to pronounce them. We compared the similarities and differences in the languages and words too. Learning languages is fun!

Outdoor week (Sweden)

Every year in April our school has a week with more outdoor lessons than usual.

This year we started the days with Tabata, a kind of motion with music. It was fun for all our pupils.

During the school day we had lessons in math, Swedish, science, art or PE outside or had short outdoor breaks between parts of lessons.

One afternoon our staff had an education in Brain breaks and activities to get up the heart rate.
