Atalía school is a Primary and Infants school in the city of Gijón, a coastal city in the North of Spain. There are 440 pupils in six Infants classes and twelve Primary classes (two classes for year) There are 35 teachers, including three native teachers of English, one counsellor, one special needs teacher and one speech therapist teacher. This course we have a language assistant from France.

The school was founded in 1980 and it served the area. The British Council Programme started in 1996, and thanks to that the school improved.

Nowadays, we are one of the most demanded schools in Gijón, and our students come from the surroundings of the school and from different places in the city.

Here you have a small presentation of our school…

…and a video in which you can see us singing and dancing.
